My name is Lori Parker, I am a Registered Psychologist and I work in private practice with Fenwick Psychology and Wellness Associates. Fifteen years ago, I was re-introduced to the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. Since then I have been studying and practicing Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. The research that has been conducted on this program with regard to overall psychological and physical well being in addition neuropsychological functioning is very compelling. During the course of my personal mindfulness practice I made a decision to learn how to teach these practical tools. In March 2017, I completed the training program and achieved the status of Qualified MBSR instructor at the Centre for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
